The space

Pop's Place is a charming fishing cabin with two private bedrooms and one and a half baths recently rebuilt in 2026. You'll love the expansive views you'll get from the living room! Outside, there is a spacious deck for entertaining, and a private dock to park your boat, or go fishing, swimming, or kayaking. You'll have one of the best vistas on the entire lake, with unobstructed views reaching 2½ miles upstream.

Living Room

Features a large, comfortable leather sofa (doubling as a queen size sleeper sofa) and swivel chairs that help flow into the sitting room overlooking the lake. It's a great spot to lounge in front of the 55" SmartTV, giving you access to your subscription apps like Netflix, YouTubeTV, and Hulu.

Office

This offers panoramic views of the lake with a wall of double sliding glass doors. A decorative, non-working fireplace adds a touch of ambience. You'll find a place to set a workstation and plenty of books and board games to take advantage of during a rainy day.

Master Bedroom

Relax in our comfortable king size bed with a memory foam mattress. Here, you've got room to place your luggage and a nightstand and large dresser to keep your belongings. There is also a 50" SmartTV on the wall to stream the apps you subscribe to. The owner's closet in this room is locked and inaccessible to guests.

2nd Bedroom

This room has two twin beds and includes a small nightstand, dresser, and a 50" SmartTV to stream your favorite apps.

Full Bathroom

This shared bathroom contains a bathtub/shower, toilet, and a single vanity. We provide toiletries like shampoo and body wash for your stay if you don't feel like bringing your own. You'll find towels and washcloths in the adjacent linen closet.

Powder Room

This bathroom includes another toilet and vanity.

Laundry Room

Includes a dryer and top-load washing machine. You will be provided with a starter kit of washing detergent pods, but if you plan on doing more than 3 loads of laundry, make sure to bring extra detergent.

Kitchen

The open kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. You will be on your own for groceries, but it is equipped with many spices, condiments, and olive oil to get you started. We come to the cottage about once a month and do our best to keep things stocked. If you use the last of something and feel inspired to replace it for the next guest, it is greatly appreciated. There is a Keurig coffee machine (you will need to provide your own KCups) and all the pots, pans, and utensils you need to prepare a nice meal are here for your use. The eat-in kitchen also has a small dining table with seating for 4 and additional portable folding tray tables for extra diners.

Outside

Immediately outside of the back sliding doors leading out of the office, you will step onto the wraparound deck with a spacious lounge area with chairs and a dining set. On the other side, you will find the grilling area with a Weber Genesis propane gas grill. The backyard includes a Solo Stove Bonfire firepit to enjoy by the waterfront. Beyond that, you will find the dock where you can fish, swim, park your boat, or use 2 of the provided kayaks.
***Please note, beach towels are not provided. Please bring your own and do not use bath towels for use after enjoying the lake.***

Garbage

Trash pickup is on Mondays. If you are staying or checking out on a Sunday, please roll the trash bin out to the street for Sunday pickup and pull back to the parking pad once they've arrived.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire house, with the exception of one locked closet. Outside, there is a locked shed and a covered boat that are not accessible to guests.

Other things to note

• There are security cameras located on the exterior of the house pointed towards entrances, driveway and the dock. These cameras are actively recording at all times.
• Maximum occupancy is 6 guests total. If the guest count provided is inaccurate, the host reserves the right to charge an additional $250 per person per day.
• The property is strictly NO EVENTS unless explicitly given permission before your stay. Absolutely no bachelor or bachelorette parties.
• Pets are not permitted on the property.
• This cabin is located on a rural lake. The house is sprayed regularly for bugs, but expect insects to enter the home at times, especially if doors are kept open for too long.
• Guests are not allowed to download paid videos/movies/sporting events, etc. through the SmartTVs. If a guest downloads something during the date/time they are at the home, the owner will deduct this amount from the guest's security deposit.
